Summer B
What The Ladybird Heard

Nursery have been reading the story "What The Ladybird Heard" and this has helped us explore lots of different minibeasts and their features. We played a fun guessing game using clues like “it has 6 legs” and “it has wings and is black and red”. The children had to work out “Who am I?”.
The children also decorated biscuits to look like ladybirds. They carefully counted the chocolate drops as spots and were very proud of their creations.
We had great fun exploring the allotments and searching for minibeasts under pots, buckets, logs and stones. The children used a simple checklist to mark off the creatures they found and were very excited each time they spotted something new.

Fun on the Run!
Nursery enjoyed exploring the wider school grounds this week. We played in the orchard, ran through the willow structures and had fun on the big field. The children loved having space to run!
