‘A Stepping Stone into the Future’

Summer A

Week 5

We have had a busy week writing some lovely character descriptions. In maths, we have continued working on our tables. We had a lovely afternoon in making a postcard of different natural resources.

Have a look at the images below.

Week 4

Over the last 4 weeks the children have been working hard on their African art, they have explored and created African patterns, carried out observational drawings of masks, designed their own mask and this week they created their own mask. In maths they have been working hard counting in 2s and 10s. In English they have worked really hard writing an information report about dogs.

Week Three

This week we have started to look at the volume of objects. We have had fun investigating the size of jugs and how much liquid it could hold. In Science, we have planted our own cress to see how plants grow.

Have a look at the pictures below.

Week 2

We have had lots of fun measuring using rulers and cubes.  In Science, we have enjoyed finding out lots of new information about plants. We now know what the different parts of the plants are used for. Have a look at some pictures below.

Week 1

We hope you all had a lovely Easter Holiday. We had a busy first week back. In maths, we started our new topic about measuring lengths in cubes and using rulers. We even got to go on a trip to Kirkly Hall, we got to see lots of different animals and we even got to feel some of them if we wanted to. Have a look at some pictures below of our trip.
