School Closure Home Learning Year 5
We cannot believe this is the final week of school virtually. We want to wish you all a safe and happy holiday. Please keep reading and working on your times tables. Don't forget to have lots of fun too. We cannot wait to see you all in September.
This week's home learning has lots of transition activities to prepare you for your next class. Look out for your new teacher videos next week.
We cannot believe that we are now into July and that we haven't seen your lovely faces since March! We hope that you are all happy and well and we can't wait to see you all again. This week's learning theme is 'transport'. There are some exciting science experiments for you to have a go at this week and we would love to see some photos or short videos of them. Please send them to : sarah.singleton@westdenton.newcastle.sch.uk
Stay safe, we hope the sunshine returns soon!
We hope that you have been enjoying the wonderful weather this week and that you have all been safe in the sun.
This week's home-school overview is based around the theme of 'Space'. Please do not feel like you have to complete everything on the overview. You might have some of your own brilliant ideas for space themed science, writing or art activities and of course we would love to see photos of them. Please send your photos to: sarah.singleton@westdenton.newcastle.sch.uk
Week 11 Overview 22.6.20
Miss you all! We cannot believe how long it is since we last saw you all and we can only imagine how much growing up some of you will have done since March. This week's learning theme is all about music. What is your favourite song? Who sings it? What genre is it? Why do you like it and how does it make you feel? There are some wonderful pieces of music for you to listen to and think about this week. Perhaps you could compose your own piece of music at home or write some new lyrics to a song you already know. We would love to see some videos of these.
Keep taking care of yourselves and your families.

We hope that you have all had a lovely week, despite the awfully wet weather. Hopefully you have been out for lots of soggy walks and puddle jumping. We are very excited to welcome back our Year 6 children this week. School looks a little different but it is not scary at all and we have lots of lovely things planned for you. Keep up all of your hard work and a massive thank you to all of you who have sent in your work and photos this week - well done!

We would like to wish you all a very happy half term break. We cannot believe that the first summer term has come to an end already. We have loved looking at the photos of your fantastic work and wonderful pieces of writing; thank you for emailing them in to us.
