Packed Lunch and Lunch Menus
Packed Lunch Guidelines
May we respectfully request that parents try to provide their children with a nutrionally balanced packed lunch and ask that the following items are not included:
- Chocolate bars (not biscuit based)
- energy drinks or fizzy drinks
- Jellies or sweets
Many Thanks for your co-operation with this matter.
School meals are supplied by City Cuisine and are served in our school hall from 11.45am to 1 p.m. A choice of meal
is available to children on a rota basis. School meals should be paid for in advance on the first school day of each
week. Children should bring the correct money for the week in a named envelope, which should be placed in their
class dinner money ‘basket’. Credits for meals not taken are dealt with as they arise. Parents eligible for ‘free school
meals’ must apply to the Civic Centre. Application forms are available from the school office and must be renewed
each year. It is not possible to extend any form of credit for school meals. Since September 2014, children from
Reception to Year 2 have been eligible for Universal Free School Meals.
We are quickly becoming a cashless school so that families can pay for meals and school trips more
conveniently online. Packed lunches may be brought to school and eaten in the school-dining hall. Children are
supervised during the lunch break, both in the hall and on the schoolyard, by supervisory assistants in accordance
with Local Authority policy.
