Autumn A
Week 3
We have worked really hard this week in maths and in our handwriting. In science, we have been learning about our senses and which body part is linked to our senses.
We had lots of fun on Monday in Bushcraft this week. We talked about hedgehogs and how to keep them safe. We even got to make our own hedgehogs out of clay. Have a look at the images below.
In Art this week we have learned about the French artist Claude Monet who loved painting his garden. To try and achieve a similar effect, we painted using cotton buds!
Congratulations to this week’s Achievers Award recipients! Well done to Layton, Mevinu, Daisy, Alexander and Ava ππππ
Week 2
This week in science we went on a learning walk to see what we could hear, see, smell and touch. We loved learning all about our senses. In maths we have looked at sorting objects into two groups, looking at the colour, size and even the shapes. Have a look at some of the pictures.
Autumn A Week 1
It has been lovely to welcome the children back to school this week! We have enjoyed getting to know them and we were very proud to win the Attendance Award this week for the best attendance in the whole school ππ.
Congratulations to our children who received an Achievers Award this week. Well done to Ben, Arianna, Ronan, Darcey and… the whole class for having lovely manners and trying hard this week πππ
Just a reminder that our PE day this half term is Wednesday. Please send them into school in their PE kit consisting of a white t-shirt, black leggings or training pants, school jumper or cardigan and suitable trainers.
Please send your child’s reading folder in every day and listen to them read 3+ times a week. It would be helpful if you could sign their bookmark when you have heard them read. Your support makes a huge difference and really helps them to progress.
Homework will be given out on a Friday and we ask for it to be returned with your child’s name on the following Friday. This will commence next Friday. We ask that you encourage your child to complete their work neatly and in pencil. Thank you for your support π
