Working with Simone at the Derwent River learning the effects of invasive species of flora. Balsam Bashing to help remove some of this invasive species to help balance the growth along the river banks and protect the wildlife that lives there.

Phase 2 have been working with Simone visiting Kielder Salmon Hatchery and learning about the work they do to help increase the number of salmon and fresh water mussels in our rivers.

Phase Two have been working with Simone down at the River Derwent, kick sampling to find out which animals live there and if the river is healthy or polluted.

Phase One have been litter picking with Simone to help our environment.

Another fabulous visit from Simone at River Trust teaching our children in Years 5 and 6 about river and flood management.

Our children in Years 5 and 6 have been enjoying a visit from Simone at River Trust teaching us how to help flood management at our homes with the SUDS house.
