‘A Stepping Stone into the Future’

Summer Term A

Week 6 

 

We have had a busy week. In maths, we finished our unit on fractions. In English, we wrote a leaflet to help people look after sea monkeys. We have enjoyed finishing off our 'Pointilism' art work. We did our last session of Tennis in PE. We also looked at email safety in ICT and different methods of communicating. We enjoyed singing 'Bringing us together.'

 

Week 5

 

This week we have worked really hard. In maths, we continued to work on fractions. In English, we continued our work on 'Oliver and the Seawigs.' We have really enjoyed Art,  we looked at primary, secondary and tertiary colours using Pointilism. In Geography, we talked about endangered sea turtles we enjoyed it so much we even created some posters to help everyone look after the endangered sea turtles.   

Week 3

 

We have had a lovely week this week celebrating the King's Coronation. We all made our own crowns and talked about what will happen during the King's Coronation. We had a look at a timeline of all the different monarchs we have had. We even enjoyed a delicious ice cream!   

Week 2

We have had another busy week. In math's, we have looked at ordering fractions if the denominators are the same and then how to order fractions if denominators are different. In English, we have described Iris the mermaid using idioms like: she is as blind as a bat. We had a lovely time in bushcraft this week planting new plants.    

Week 1

 

Welcome back. Hope you all had a lovely Easter Holiday. We have had a busy first week back. In maths, we have looked at fractions. In English, we have started a new book called 'Oliver and the Seawigs'. We had to imagine we were Oliver and write a note to his parent explaining where we had gone. In PE, we had lots of fun learning how to hold the tennis racket and  how to control the tennis ball on the racket.
