Autumn Term B
After 2 weeks of self isolating, the children returned raring to go. We have had a really busy week! We have partied, visited Santa, enjoyed hot chocolate, squirty cream and marshmallows and completed sooo many crafts, while learning about the true meaning of Christmas!
Have a very merry Christmas, stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all again in January.

Another busy week in Year 2. The children are enjoying being detectives. We have begun to investigate what happened in the Great Fire of London. In maths, we have been revising our number bonds to 10 and applying these to help us with our number bonds to 20 and 100. In English, we have been writing a recount with all the features.
The children have had a great week back.
We have been recognising the features of a recount in English and writing poems with onomatopoeias for Bonfire night. The children had some great ideas.
In maths the children have been using the part, part whole model to find the relationship between addition and subtraction. The children did some great learning and enjoyed the sweeties that helped them too!
In art, they enjoyed using pastels to create a firework night sky.
