‘A Stepping Stone into the Future’

Spring Term A Lockdown

Week 6

From all of the teachers in Year 6, we just want to say a huge well done to you all for working so hard. We know it’s not easy but you are all doing so well. Achievers certificates are below along with a very small sample of this weeks work. We hope you have a restful week this coming week, you are all ready for it and deserve it. Hopefully we will see you all very soon. Stay safe.

Week 5

This week we’ve been learning how to manipulate images, making jumping frogs from paper, writing news paper articles and much more. Please check out the gallery below to see if you can spot your work.

Once again, well done to those children who have logged in to Reading Plus and completed the 5 book challenge, and also those who have logged into TTRS. Big thumbs up!

Well done to this weeks achievers too. See certificates below.

We hope you enjoy a relaxing weekend.

Week 4

It’s been another great week of work Year 6! The work we have seen has been brilliant and it’s clear you are all working very hard so well done.

Dont forget to go on Reading Plus. Your aim is to read 5 books each week.

Keep up the good work, we can’t wait to see what you send us next week. Have a lovely, restful weekend.

Week 3

Hello everyone, we hope you are all safe and well. It's been another busy week, and really nice to see all your work coming through on Seesaw. I've included a small selection of some of your responses below in the photo gallery. If anyone is having any problems, please let us know and we will fix them ASAP. Also well done to those who are working on paper copies.

Also, huge well done to those children who have received achievement certificates this week. They have been sent to you on Seesaw but can also be seen below.

It's also been wonderful seeing so many of you using Reading Plus too! We have given out 3 awards this week on Reading Plus so well done to those children.

Ideally we'd like you to go on Reading Plus 3 times a week for just 20 minutes each time. We suggest Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We'd also like you to do TTRS for 30 minutes twice a week. Again, we suggest Tuesdays and Thursdays. Why don't you do it first thing, then it is a quick and enjoyable exercise and prepares your mind, ready for the rest of the days lessons.

Have a great relaxing weekend and keep up the good work.

Week 2

This week the home learning tasks for our Phase 3 pupils have included drawing a face or self-portrait. Here are some examples of the excellent work that our class have produced.

The children have continued to learn about Earth and Space and were set the challenge of designing a front cover sheet for this topic.

Week 1

We are delighted to see our class engaging with the home learning tasks that have been set on Seesaw. Here are some examples of the brilliant work that they have completed.
We were also pleased to see them taking time to relax and enjoy Friday's snow.
