Week 2

It has been another busy week in class this week.  The children have enjoyed listening to the Enormous crocodile story and writing about the clever tricks the crocodile gets up to.  We have described his appearance and created a front cover for the book.  In Maths we have been learning about direction and position.  In Science we have started a new topic about materials. The children have got hands on with a variety of materials in class.  On Thursday we went for a walk around our key stage areas to find objects and then identify the material it was made from. In P.E we have continued to practice throwing and catching.

Week 1

In class this week the children have been finding a quarter of a shape and an amount.  In English we have been doing some creative writing, describing a forest scene.  In P.E. the children enjoyed practising their ball skills, including bouncing and catching and throwing and catching with a partner. In the PSCHE lesson the class have been talking about different emotions and what each emotion looks like.
