‘A Stepping Stone into the Future’

Autumn Term B

Week 7

 Christmas Dinner

Nursery celebrated with a Christmas dinner.  Roast turkey with all the trimmings and Christmas music.

Santa's Treehouse Grotto

We had a special visitor in our Bushcraft area.  Santa Claus came to visit and handed out treats and gifts to the children.  Nursery were so excited to see Santa and enjoyed catching their gifts at the end of the slide.

Week 6

Christmas Party

What a fantastic time we all had at our party on Wednesday.  Lots of brilliant dancing and party games followed by a great party tea.  I'm sure you will agree that they all looked gorgeous in their party clothes.

Week 5

 Zoo Lab

This week we were very lucky to have a visit from Zoo Lab.  The animals that Rob brought in were a snake, a rat, a cockroach, a giant millipede and a tarantula.  Nursery were were very brave and thoroughly interested in a close up of the animals. The children could have a hold, a stroke or just a look depending on how brave they felt.

Week 4

Santa's Workshop

Nursery is feeling very festive this week!  Our Santa workshop and polar express train was ready to explore and the children enjoyed some Christmas crafts.

Week 3

Children In Need Day

The children celebrated Children In Need on Friday.  We painted Pudsey bear pictures, covered Pudsey in spots on the collage table and made spotty yellow cakes to take home.

 Cutting Skills

We have been using scissors to snip and cut out toys to add to our special Santa letters.

Week 2

 Then I'll huff, and I'll puff ...

Our story of the week is the traditional tale "The Three Little Pigs'.  Nursery carried out a blowing Science experiment.

Week 1

 Halloween Party

Nursery had a spooktacular time at our Halloween party.  The children enjoyed the spooky games which included pass the parcel, corners and pin the tail on the black cat.  I'm sure you'll agree that the children looked frightfully good in their Halloween costumes and party clothes.
