β€˜A Stepping Stone into the Future’

Autumn Term A

Autumn 1 Week 7

We created beautiful autumn trees, using our fingers to β€˜paint’ the leaves. Don’t they look lovely? πŸ˜ŠπŸ‚πŸ

We had fun decorating biscuits to make them look like pumpkins! We are looking forward to tasting them later... πŸͺπŸŽƒπŸ˜‹

We all enjoyed dressing up for the last day of the half term in our Halloween themed outfits. We look frightfully good don’t you think?! πŸŽƒπŸ’€πŸ§™β€β™€οΈπŸ§›

We have had a very exciting morning meeting some special visitors! Mrs McHatton brought in her pet African Land Snails to show us. We all had the opportunity to hold them, and we learned lots of interesting facts about them. They love eating soft fruits and veggies such as courgettes, grass, apples and bananas. They also have cuttlefish to keep their shells hard so they will protect their soft bodies. We really enjoyed meeting Bill & Ben! 🐌🐌

Autumn 1 Week 6

Well done to all of our children on their Achievers Awards this week. Hats off to Dylan, Ali, Malik, Lia and Leo! Their families will be very pleased! πŸ˜ŠπŸ†πŸŒŸ

We have been practising our drawing skills by following Draw With Rob, an artist and illustrator who teaches children how to draw step by step. Look at our awesome, amazing alligator pictures! We were very proud of our artwork πŸ˜ŠπŸ–ΌπŸŠ.

Autumn 1 Week 5

Congratulations to Amelia, Jenson and Seren on their Achievers Awards this week. We’re sure their families will be very proud of them! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ†

We have been using the Purple Mash app in ICT to create our own avatars. Don’t they look like us?!

Autumn 1 Week 4

Mr MingStones visited our classroom to hand out our Achievers certificates. It’s one of our favourite times of the week! Well done to Eli, Owen, Shanade, Ellie-Jo and Octavia πŸ˜ŠπŸ†πŸŒŸ

We have been working really hard in maths comparing numbers, using vocabulary such as greater than, less than and equal to. We remembered that the crocodile always likes to eat the biggest number! 🐊

Autumn 1 Week 3

Well done to our children who received an Achievers Award this week. Charlie, Amelia, Kaiden and Azhe were very proud to take them home! πŸ˜ŠπŸ†πŸŒŸ

Autumn 1 Week 2

Congratulations to our children who received an Achievers certificate this week! Well done to Leo, Amelia, Seren, Malik and Isla πŸ‘πŸ†πŸŒŸ

We had a wonderful time when Franco & Steve came into school to teach us how to play the djembe drums! We are learning how to play animal rhythms so we can play along in an Animal Pageant at the end of this half term. We had lots of fun dancing!

Autumn 1 Week 1

It has been wonderful to welcome the children back into school this week. We have enjoyed finding out about them and getting to know them.

The children had fun in the Bushcraft area with Mrs McHatton, learning how to stay safe and making houses for bugs to keep them warm and dry in the colder weather.

Mr MingStones called in to hand out our Achievers Certificates! Well done to Lacey, Jenson, Amelia, Macie-Leigh and Scarlett πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸŒŸ
