Week 1

Welcome back everyone!

The children have settled into class and the routines of school this week.  They have worked hard in maths ordering numbers to 20 and counting amounts.  On Wednesday afternoon the class listened to a music performance of the piano and cello.  They enjoyed pieces including the sound tracks from Harry Potter and Star Wars. On Thursday the year 1 children took part in a snuggle and read with their parents, enjoying the time to share a story in school. We are also encouraging the children to bring their favourite story into class and share it. They have enjoyed seeing their friends and catching up after the summer break.

The children will have P.E. every Friday and will need their P.E. kit  on when they come to school.

Please can you listen to your child read as often as possible.

Homework will be given out on a Friday and should be  brought back for the following Friday.
