‘A Stepping Stone into the Future’

Spring Term A

Week 6

The children took part in an internet safety session. The were reminded about staying safe online.

Week 5

 

The children have worked really hard this week, doing lots of different assessments. After a hard week we where able to enjoy the morning in bushcraft and even got to make are own pizza's! 

Week 4 

 

This week in math we started to look at column multiplication. In English, we wrote some amazing poetry about a scrap yard. In are, we have looked Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein 'Pop Art'. We have enjoyed using different resources to create bright and colourful work. Have a look at our work. 

Week 3 

This week in English, we began n to read chapter 2 of  'The Iron Man'. We thought about how the farmer are feeling now that the Iron Man has destroyed all of their machinery. We also had a fantastic visit from 'Dogs Trust'. They taught us all about how to stay safe around dogs.  

 

Week 2 

This week in English, we did some lovey writing to describe a scene from our Iron Man story. In maths we have continued to work hard on our multiplications. We also talk about the Chinese New Year and got to make some lovely lanterns. 

Week 1 

 

We have had a very busy first week back. In Math's, we began to look at dividing and used counters to help share them into equal groups. We started our new book in English, which is called The Iron Man. We predicted what might happen in the story. We cant wait to see if our predictions were correct. In PE, we practiced our cycling skills. In Geography, we started to learn about earthquakes. Look at the pictures below of our busy week.
