Spring Term A Lockdown
We cannot believe that this is the final week of this half-term. Let us congratulate you all on your hard work and resilience throughout this lockdown. A huge thank you to all, children, parents and cares included.
This week we had an opportunity to listen to Michael Morpurgo, talking about the things which inspire him to write and how he goes about writing his books. To hear him talk was absolutely fascinating. His is certainly one of our favourite Authors at W.D.P.S.
We wish you all a happy half-term break. Take time off, away from computers, tablets and home-school: unwind, relax, bake, paint, sing, dance and do all of the things that make you happy.
We miss you all and hope to see you all back in school very soon.
Stay safe and take care .

Children's Mental Health Week
This week we have been celebrating Children's Mental Health Week both with the children who are in school and with those that are learning at home using Seesaw or workpacks.
This year's theme is Express Yourself and the culmination of the week was to encourage pupils and staff to wear their wackiest outfit, whether they were working at home or in school.
We enjoyed seeing everyone express themselves and have fun! We also enjoyed the scavenger hunt as part of our weekly class Zoom call.
This week we would like to congratulate the following children:
Jessica and Sophia - Writer of the Week for excellent glacier poems
Ciaran - Learner of the Week for the effort you put into completing and returning your home-school work pack.
Ava - Reader of the Week for consistently working hard on Reading Plus and earning a certificate this week
Annalise and Cole - Positive Attitude of the Week for working hard all week
