Summer Term A
What an exciting week we’ve had to end this half term. We’ve been Geocaching at Gibside, and celebrating the Royal Jubilee in style. Check out our fashion designs for the Queen, based on the book ‘The Queen’s Knickers’.
Well done Year 6! You have been amazing this week and you could not have worked any harder during your SATs, we are so proud of you all.
Year 5 have done a great job helping Mrs. McHatton, plant the crown bloom as part of the Tower of Super Bloom Queen’s Jubilee project.
Year 6 let their hair down with a water fight on Thursday afternoon, followed by a film treat and party.
Our class worked brilliantly together this week, moving heavy pallets into the Bush Craft area and building a bug hotel. We were also fascinated by the abundance of tadpoles in the new pond.
It has been lovely to welcome the children back after the Easter break. Year 6 have been working so hard this week in preparation for their SATs. On Thursday we all enjoyed a well earned break and spent some time in our Bushcraft area. We have some budding photographers among us…the children have been photographing ‘Spring Awakenings’, as part our Tower in Bloom project.
