‘A Stepping Stone into the Future’

Spring Term A

Week 6

In our P.E. lesson we have been practising symmetrical and asymmetrical balances. We have also learned pile, straddle, tuck, front support and back support. We have joined our balances and created routines. On Wednesday we cycled with Mrs. Williams. In English we are writing the story the Dream Giver and in Maths we have been multiplying and dividing fractions. Our Year 5 children also had ABC,  learning about the law, actions and consequences. In our History topic we have been finding out about the occupations of Maya people today.

Week 5

This week has been assessment week and the children have worked their socks off completing arithmetic and reasoning assessments in maths and reading assessments in English. The children have also cycled with Mrs.Williams and taken part in the ABC project.

Week 2

This week we tested our team building, communication, problem solving and resilience with a fantastic workshop with the Happy Puzzle Company.

Week 1

What a lovely first week we’ve had. The children have been budding photographers, working in pairs to photograph nature during their Bushcraft session and I am sure that you will agree that their images are absolutely stunning.
In History the children were using Google maps and other maps to investigate the four countries were Maya citizens live.
