‘A Stepping Stone into the Future’

Autumn B

Week 6

Week 5

Music

Week 4

A big thank you to all the grown ups that attended the Maths workshop. The children really enjoyed having fun with maths with their grown ups.

Week 3

The children have worked incredibly hard this week. In maths, they have been developing their understanding of fact families, showing great progress and confidence. We have also continued to refine our sentence writing by focusing on full stops, finger spaces, and capital letters.

In geography, the children have been exploring what maps are and how they can be used to help us understand the world around us. In RE, we have been retelling the story of Moses, an important figure in the Jewish faith.

Retelling the Story of Moses

Week 2

What a busy week! The children did so well in their Remembrance Assembly, we are really proud of them. The rest of the week has been full to the brim. We have been exploring addition within 10, looking at a new character in English,  drawing maps of the UK, creating spirals and finally we enjoyed our Children in Need day.

Week 1

It was wonderful to welcome the children back to school after their week off and to hear all their stories about what they’ve been up to. Mr. Ross visited us from the synagogue and talked to the children about Shabbat. We also enjoyed our music lesson, learning new songs and playing percussion instruments. In art, we had great fun creating spirals outside as part of our new unit.

This week, we’ve been working hard learning about Remembrance and preparing for our assembly—we’re really looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday. We finished the week with a fantastic performance of the Robin Hood pantomime, which everyone loved!
