Week one
Welcome back, hope you all had a lovely week off. It has been a busy week back in Year 3. We have continued on in maths with addition and subtraction working out how to exchange numbers using our formal written method. In English we wrote a brilliant newspaper reports about Charlie Bucket finding the final golden ticket. We even got to enjoy a brilliant pantomime. It was also Spanish week this week, so we enjoyed ‘Day of the Dead’ inspired treats and decorations everyone’s outfits were amazing! Have a look at some images below:
Week Two
Another fun packed week. We have enjoyed our new PE sessions working on fitness. In English, we looked at character descriptions for Willy Wonka. It is fantastic to see everyone looking back through there books when answering the Accelerated Reader quizzes keep up the hard work. We even showed off our reading skills by visiting the children in our nursery to read them a story. In maths, we have finished our unit on addition and subtraction, and worked on problem solving questions. In RE we have enjoyed looking at how different stories from the bible show God in a different light. In science, we looked at our habitats and what is around our habitat to keep us safe. Week Three
Another busy week this week, in Maths, we have begun multiplication and division. In English, we have wrote a fact file all about Oompa Loompa’s. In geography, we have looked at Shackleton and how to plot four digit references on a grid. In science, we have looked at our habitat and the dangers we cause to different animals. We used charcoal in art and looked and two artist that use charcoal in different ways. In PE, we continued with fitness and practice our balance and hand eye coordination.
