Autumn B
Week One
Hope you all enjoyed a lovely break. We have had a busy first day back looking at World War One. We wrote some lovely poems and some beautiful art work of poppy fields. In maths, we have looked at addition and subtraction.
Week Two
This week we began to prepare for our Christmas performance. We have started to learn our roles and practise the songs. In maths, we used a systematic approach to finding factors. In English, we looked at Greek myths and predicted what might happen next.
Week Three
While some of our children have adventured to Robinwood, we have took the time focus on our computing unit. We have learnt all about spreadsheets and the key vocabulary we use in spreadsheets. We have also continued to practise our Christmas performance practise and we can’t wait for you all to enjoy our performance.
Week Five
We have had another busy week full of Christmas rehearsal ready for our performance next week. We did a brilliant dress rehearsal. In English, we have had enjoyed learning about Greek Myths and discussing the cautionary tales. In maths, we have looked at prime number and square numbers. In science we have enjoyed looking at earth and space.
Week Six
I hope you enjoyed our Christmas performance this week. We got to enjoy a well deserved break and enjoy some fun in the allotments and cycling. We have done a lovely big write on Edgar the Dragon form the John Lewis advert in English. In maths, we have started to look at fractions and multiplying by 10, 100 and 1,000. Week Seven
We have had a busy week full of festive fun. We have enjoyed making Christmas cards and calendars. We had fun playing lots of different games at our Christmas party, and we even got special treat from Santa. We have been practising all the songs for our carol service on Friday. We have done some lovely street art called ‘throwies’ where they wrote their names in graffiti style writing.
