‘A Stepping Stone into the Future’

Summer B

Week 1

We have had an extremely busy first week back in Year 3. In Science, we continued learning about electricity. We made our own switches using split pins and a paper clip and used them to turn a bulb on and off in a circuit. In our cookery session, the children made toasties and Eton mess for desert! In English, they found out what a 'seawig' is from our class text 'Oliver and the Seawigs'. They created their own, thinking about seaside animals and objects they could use. We have also been lucky enough to have some caterpillars delivered. We put them into their own pots along with some food, and are excited to see their progress as they form a chrysalis and finally emerge as butterflies. On Friday, we ended the week with our attendance treat. We had ice lollies and enjoyed some time outside!
