Week 6
The children have had a busy week. The highlight was their Sports Day. They all gave 100% and were so good at supporting and cheering on their classmates.

Week 4
This week the year two children had a PSHE workshop, discussing the importance of what is in your pants is private. On Tuesday the children enjoyed taking part in the races ready for sports day. In History we have learnt about what happens in a coronation and who becomes King or Queen. In maths the year two children have been recording tally charts and bar charts, transferring data. The year one children have been comparing numbers to 100 as well as partitioning.

Week 3
This week the year two children have been learning how to tell quarter past and quarter to times and the year one children have been partitioning into tens and ones. On Tuesday the children enjoyed taking part in the races ready for sports day. In History we have started a new topic, learning about What is a monarch? On Thursday we made Mardi Gras masks with visitors from Newcastle University. On Friday parents came to have coffee watch our achievers assembly.

Week 2
The children have had a very busy week in class. The year two children have completed their secret agent training and can be really proud of their effort. The year one children have completed the Phonics Check and have demonstrated their sound knowledge. In Maths we have been focusing on place value. In English the children have written their own story about the Enormous crocodile. We have continued to practice races for sports day on the 8th July. The children have enjoyed working through the challenges on Doodle Maths.

Week 1
The children have come back ready to learn and have been working very hard in class this week. The year two children have started their secret agent training. In Maths the year one children have been sharing into equal groups using apparatus. The children have also been focusing on their sounds in phonics, getting ready for the year one phonics check next week. On Thursday the year one children enjoyed a music workshop in the hall. We have also begun to practice races for sports day in the coming weeks.
