‘A Stepping Stone into the Future’

Spring B

Week 4

This week in science we have continued our Circulatory System topic by looking at how blood vessels work. We also got to try out our new sports equipment in PE when we played basketball, working on our catching and throwing through teamwork, and also our position on the court.

Week 3

We had a great science lesson this week. We learnt about blood and what it is made up of by making a model. We used marshmallows to represent the white blood cells, yellow food colouring with water to represent the plasma, raisins to represent the platelets and cheerio’s with red food colouring to represent the red blood cells.

In maths we continued enhancing our arithmetic skills. And in English we’ve been learning about formal and informal writing.

Week 2

We are focusing really well in our maths and English session. In English we have been looking at clauses and sentence structure, in maths we have been focusing on our key arithmetic skills and scaling. In Art, we have started our landscapes module using angles and straight lines (see photos) and in science, we have been looking at the circulatory system.

Week 1

This week was DT week. We had great fun making flapjacks.
