‘A Stepping Stone into the Future’

Spring B

Week 5

The children had a wonderful time celebrating Eid, with a fun-filled party. They enjoyed eating tasty food and playing games.

In Geography, the class have been writing like geographers, comparing climate zone maps.  In English, they have been focusing on developing reading skills and grammar and in maths, they have been learning about line graphs. The children have created some amazing watercolour art in the style of the Shoreditch artist.
 

Week 3

The children had an exciting time in Science making blood and learning about the different parts that is made up of. In PE, they have practise their netball skills. In Art, the children learned about different techniques to draw landscapes. Caring for our school environment, everyone enjoyed planting trees and litter picking and of course having some time to play and have fun too. 

Week 2

This week we have loved celebrating  world Book Day. We dressed up as book characters or wore our pyjamas and we loved reading to our friends in Key Stage 1. 
In Science, we have been learning about the function of the heart and made our own model hearts. 

Week 1

This week the children have been perfecting their culinary skills by designing and baking flapjack. They looked, tasted and smelled delicious. In English, the children are now studying Harry Potter as their new text and in maths they are learning about fractions, decimals and percentages.
