Spring A
Week Seven
We have had a busy final week. We enjoyed our last session of cooking, we made pizza and a trifle. We have done some Monet style paintings based on Impressionism. We have started short division in maths. On our last day today we enjoyed a drama performance.

Week Six
We have had a very busy week this week, we have been working on our assessments. We still got to enjoy some bench ball in PE and we made some tasty chilli in cooking. Have a look at some pictures below:
Week Five
We have had another busy week. In maths, we have worked on long multiplication. In English, we have carried to work on our book ‘The Water Tower’. We have looked at relative clauses and direct speech. We have also enjoyed some cooking this week with CHEFF programme, we really enjoyed cooking spicy chicken wraps. Week Four
We have had another busy week swimming event afternoon. On our last swimming session we were taught all about health and safety in all types of water. In maths we have looked at adding mixed number fractions. In English, we have enjoyed writing a paragraph that builds suspense. We have looked at different features of suspense writing and used that as our success criteria. We got to enjoy a fantastic performance from rocksteady music and some of us got a chance to perform as well.

Week Three
We have had a fun packed week. Everyday we have enjoyed swimming lessons. It has been very challenging and enjoyable. In maths we have continued to work hard on adding fractions. In English, we have continued to work on the water tower - we focused on Spike and Bubba’s characters and found evidence in the text to back up our thoughts. We have managed to enjoy some music this week and played the glockenspiel to ‘Make You Feel My Love’.

Week Two
In maths, we have began to add and subtract fractions with the same denominator. Next week we will use this knowledge to add and subtract fractions with different denominators. In English, we have continued to work on our class text ‘The Water Tower’. We have been using ‘DADWAVERS’ to write fantastic descriptions. In Science, we have looked at different types of forces. In PE, we tried some different balances in gymnastics. Next week in PE we are swimming for 2 weeks, please don’t forgot your swimming costumes and towels.

Week One
Welcome back, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! We have worked really hard this week, in maths we have been converting improper fractions to mixed number fractions. In English, we began our new novel ‘The Water Tower’. We have tried to work out what the genre of the text will be based on the front cover. In science, we have began to look at forces and focused on gravity.
