‘A Stepping Stone into the Future’

London

Day 2

Today has been a non-stop adventure full of British history and site seeing. The Tower of London certainly did not disappoint. We learned about Priates and Prisoners in a brilliant workshop; visited the Bloody Tower; admired the Crown Jewels and were stunned by the giant dragon in the Armory. Now full of Mcdonalds with very tired legs and on the train home. Thank you London,  we've made lifelong memories.

Day 1

On our way to the capital. Super excited,  enjoying breakfast on the train and the early start already has some of us napping!

Part 2

Westminster Abbey was absolutely incredible.  We have learned all about British democracy,  watched live debates in both the House of Lords and the House of Commons. We even witnessed a live protest in action! The MP for Newcastle Central and West, Chi Onwurah met and talked to us about her role as a local MP and answered our questions, which was incredibly interesting. We had a beautiful walk in the sunshine through Green Park to Buckingham Palace-  unfortunately we did not see the King despite him being home.  The Horse Guards, Downing Street and Big Ben are a site to behold and the Twist Museum had us mesmerised and bamboozled! Now for some food, a quiz and a much needed rest in the youth hostel.
