‘A Stepping Stone into the Future’

Summer Term B

Week 4

This week some of our class were lucky enough to go to the Superbloom event in London. It was a long but amazing day, which the children really enjoyed and behaved impeccably. On Wednesday, some of the girls got to enjoy a STEM day at Westfield School, where they learnt about psychology and how the brain learns, test the colour of certain salts when burnt in a control experiment and lastly, programme a car to move from one side of the desk to the other. We’ve also enjoyed a whole school talent show this morning and made origami cranes as part of our mindfulness.

Week 3

On Tuesday it was a whole school music day. Year 6 had to compose their own music and learn about music from the 20th Century.

Week 2

What a busy week we've had! On Tuesday, we had a full day of First Aid, learning life skills in what to do in an emergency. This was followed by a fantastic virtual morning on Wednesday with RGS where we had to write commands to draw an image on the screen. On Thursday, we had our first session of Bamboo Tamboo, then on Friday we were joined by some of the children in Phase 3's family members for a morning outdoors in the Bushcraft, litter picking and allotments.

Week 1

We welcomed the children back on Wednesday, starting our new text called Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Murpurgo. We also started ratio in maths and had a go at Irish Dancing.
