Autumn A
Week 1
The children are back and working really hard. This week in English we started our new text 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' and in Maths we have been partitioning numbers.
Week 2
In Spanish the children have been revising days, months and numbers up to 31.
Week 3
Bob the parrot
The children had a fantastic time at Kirkley Woods and Zoo. They came across a parrot called Bob. Bob joined in singing and dancing with the children.
Week 4
In ‘life skills’ the children created maps with the route from home to school. They identified which physical features were important and added them to their maps.
Week 5
This week the children were conducting a science investigation to find out if the length of a person’s femur has an impact on the distance they can jump. The children conducted a thorough test and found some surprise results.
Week 6
In DT the children have been tasting bread to find out which was their favourite type. They also tried a range of sandwich fillers. Marmite was actually more popular than we thought it would be!
