Summer 1 Week 4
We had a real treat this week as we had another Bushcraft session with Mrs McHatton! We decided last week that we would love to toast marshmallows to make s’mores. We learned all about fire and staying safe around a campfire 🔥 and followed Mrs McHatton’s rules to the letter so that we could enjoy our afternoon. We all had a fantastic time! 😊☀️
Summer 1 Week 3
Congratulations to our children who received an Achievers Award. A big well done to Owen, Shanade, Lacey, Charlie and Azhe! Don’t forget to show them off at home!
The children had lots of fun in the Bushcraft area. Look at all their happy faces! 😊
We had a wonderful afternoon in Bushcraft with Mrs McHatton this week! We visited the allotment first to plant sunflower seeds 🌻. The seeds have gone home and will hopefully brighten up some gardens and windowsills over Summer! ☀️ We than went into the Bushcraft area and had the opportunity to explore the wonderful areas inside. The fairy dell was extremely popular, as was the mud kitchen and dinosaur excavation area!
Summer 1 Week 2
well done to all of the children receiving Achiever’s Awards this week in our 2nd whole school assembly. Leo, Amelia F, Malik, Jenson and Isla were very pleased to receive their certificates! 😊👍🌟
We had the wonderful opportunity of holding days old chicks this week! They were very light and soft but surprisingly noisy. The children were careful to use their gentle hands to hold the chicks. We discussed where chicks come from and how hens lay eggs and need to keep them warm so they will hatch. 🐣🐥
We even watched a video to learn how to use chopsticks 🥢! It’s a lot trickier than it looks...
In Geography we have learned about China. We enjoyed making dragons, finding out about pandas 🐼 and tasting some vegetable spring rolls! 🇨🇳
Summer 1 Week 1
This Friday we had our first Whole school Achievers Assembly in over 2 years! It was great to have the whole school together again. A big well done to our Achievers. Seren, Damian, Kaiden, Octavia and Hassan were very pleased with their certificates 😊👍🌟
We have been learning about different countries around the world in Geography. As part of our research, we tasted some delicious warm baguettes 🥖 with melted butter! 😊🇫🇷
