‘A Stepping Stone into the Future’

Spring Term A

Maths Fluency

Today, Friday 7th February, year six have had a change from Big Maths and they have been having ago with some new resources to test their maths fluency. Many children gave them top marks and ten out of ten. It was great to see children so engaged.

In Science Year 6 have been making human bodys parts - heart, lungs, and ribs. Then labelling them and researching facts about them and their functions.

Bushcraft

Some Year 6 children have been in the bushcraft area with Miss Croll and Mrs McHatton. They have been building dens, preparing a birthday party and learning about fire safety. It was a joy to behold to see how engaged the children were and how their imaginations ran free.

Myths and Legends

The children have just begun their new topic ‘Myths and Legends’. Their first task was to carry out research on a Greek God - the learning outcomes were excellent. All of the children worked well together and were highly engaged in this task. Here are some videos for you to enjoy but others were too large to upload.
