Spring Term B
Week 6
This week in English, we have been retelling the story of how Lego was created. The children enjoyed playing with Lego which sparked their creativity ready for retelling the story. The children have all worked so hard this half term so we hope they manage to get plenty of rest over Easter, ready and refreshed for returning for their SATs.
Week 5
Key Stage 2 enjoyed a very special assembly this week for Rocksteady Music. We even managed to get some of the teachers up performing. We have continued our topic on the Mayans with the children producing some fantastic diary entries written from different perspectives. In art, we wrote our names using maya hieroglyphics.

Week 4
We have been doing algebra in maths, persuasive writing in English and have started our Maya topic this week.
Week 3
Well done to all the children for continuing to try their best in preparation for their SAT's. We also took our time to write a superb retelling of the Highwayman poem. In art, the children have coloured and cut out jigsaw pieces for our wall display.
Week 2
We are spending a lot of time practicing for SAT’s at the moment, which can be tough at times but we are so proud of the resilience the children are showing and how hard they are all working. We were very impressed with the childrens Big Write this week on Mysterious Doors., which were an absolute pleasure to read. Well done Year 6, keep up the good work.
Week 1
Welcome back and we hope you have had a lovely half term break. This week we have had a computing session with RGS where we wrote our own game based on Frogger. It was tricky at times but the children showed great resilience and determination to overcome obstacles and created a working game to be proud of. We also celebrated World Book Day on Wednesday with some wonderful costumes. This term is mostly going to be SATS focused.
