‘A Stepping Stone into the Future’

Spring Term B

Week 4

We have been continuing to keep normality this week and the children have responded very well. For our art project, we have made dream jars from the BFG which the children will be bringing home this week. We had a rare moment during swimming where we were able to take photos of the children. It was too good an opportunity to miss! Those children who were less confident wore life jackets and had a great time swimming the full length of the pool. Their giggles were infection and it was a lovely moment to capture.

Please check our website for regular updates in the coming weeks and we hope you all stay safe and healthy.

This Week

It's been another busy week in Year 4 (so busy we didn't take any photos oops!).

We've been very sporty with rugby, cycling and swimming. The children have loved coming in to school today in their sports clothes to support Sports Relief. Thank you for your kind donations. We will update you soon on how much we have raised as a school.

In English we have written a letter from the view point of Ug and also produced instructions on how to build a boat. In Maths we have been looking at coordinates and transition.

We have also been talking to the children about the importance of hand washing and hygiene. Could you please reiterate this at home.

Well done greens, keep up the good work.

This Week

What a brilliant World Book Day! The children all looked fantastic in their costumes. We've had lots of fun guessing who everyone is. In Maths, we've been doing lots of fraction work. The children have also enjoyed playing rugby this week.

This Week

Welcome back and we hope you had fun in the snow on Monday. It's straight back into it with our new book called 'Ug Boy Genius of the Stone Age' and we have written a Stone Age menu and a diary entry. In maths we have been looking at division using the bus stop method. In Science we performed an experiment to investigate sounds. It's been a very sporting week too with cycling and swimming. (Remember your P.E kits for Monday as we will also be starting rugby sessions.) We also looked at how to be a good friend for our Anti-Bullying Campaign.
