    What's on the Menu?

    Our school chef, Wendy, and her dedicated catering team prepare fresh, nutritious hot and cold meals for our children every day. Our meals follow national School Food Standards to ensure children eat well and feel ready to learn.  We offer a wide range of daily options and can cater for all dietary requirements.  Our school meals are provided by Newcastle City Council.  For further information about the meal service, please click here.

    🍽️ Daily Meal Options  

    • Two hot main meal choices are available each day

    • One vegetarian option is always included

    • Meals are served in the school hall between 11:30am and 1:00pm

    Cost of Meals

    • All school meals cost £3.10 per day

    Universal Free School Meals

    Children in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals.

    Free School Meals Eligibility

    We encourage all parents and carers to check whether their child may be entitled to Free School Meals.

    You can:

    • Apply online, or

    • Request a paper form from the school office. Once completed, the office will scan and submit it to the Local Authority on your behalf.

    Payment Information

    • We cannot accept cash payments

    • All payments must be made online via the ParentMail app.  ParentMail is our secure online payment system for meals and school activities.

    • It is not possible for the school to offer credit for meals

    Packed Lunch Guidelines

    To help us promote healthy eating and keep all children safe, we kindly ask parents and carers to follow the guidance below when preparing packed lunches.

    🚫 Please do not include:

    • Chocolate bars (non–biscuit based)

    • Energy drinks or fizzy drinks

    • Jellies or sweets

    These items are high in sugar and/or caffeine and are not suitable for school.

    ⚠️ Allergy & Safety Notice

    Wendy and the catering team can support all dietary needs  including allergies, intolerances and cultural requirements.

    Nuts are strictly forbidden. This includes whole nuts, nut butters and any products containing nuts. This rule is essential to protect pupils with severe allergies and prevent potentially life‑threatening reactions.
