Safety is our first priority. We do everything possible to ensure our children are taught in a safe, caring and nurturing environment.

Reading is the most important skill for a child to learn. We prioritise reading skills across the school. This starts in Early Years through sound work, includes the development of phonics and moves onto a love of reading.  We encourage children to read often and widely and understand this skill will be vital to access future learning and opportunities.  Reading sits at the centre of the curriculum and underpins success across all subjects. 

We instil a number of values in our children.  These include respect and perseverance.

We encourage children to respect themselves, each other and the environment. We also promote perseverance, so children have the skills to keep going even when learning feels challenging.

We have a number of unique features and opportunities at our school. These include:

• A dedicated bush craft area for learning and enquiry outdoors
• An edible garden for growing and learning about produce
• A fleet of bikes for cycling
• A bespoke cycle-track that supports confidence and physical development
